Challenge
Issue: The large-scale construction site in Banana, Kiambu County, required a massive and reliable water supply both for the intensive current construction activities and to serve the future tenants or operations of the completed commercial property.
Need: A single, sustainable solution was needed to secure long-term water independence that could meet high-volume demands without the risks and costs associated with municipal supply dependence.
Solution
Action: Geo Blue Engineering was contracted to develop a high-capacity groundwater source to ensure continuous water availability throughout the multi-stage project.
Execution:
Feasibility: Conducted necessary surveys to site and drill a borehole in the optimal location to tap into a high-yield aquifer.
Drilling: Executed professional, deep borehole drilling capable of supplying the significant volumes needed for construction processes (e.g., mixing concrete, dust control).
Future-Proofing: The system was developed not only to support the current build phase but also to meet the long-term water needs of the finished commercial establishment.
Outcome
Impact: The client secured a permanent, independent, and reliable water supply critical for meeting tight construction deadlines and ensuring the viability of the future property.
Beneficiaries: The construction team and, eventually, all tenants/occupants of the completed commercial site.
Result: Successfully secured the site’s current and long-term water needs, ensuring reliable supply for construction completion and future operational use.
